The European Gaming and Betting Association held the Responsible Gaming Day conference that takes place every year in Brussels, this time on October 19. Members of the European Parliament, industry experts and also the online gaming operators expected this to attend for a long time. Now, the Responsible Gaming Day held a special significance. The European Parliament is known to have been casting the final vote on the draft Report on Online Gambling in the next month. The industry is looking forward to sending a strong signal to the Members of the European Parliament regarding the extent as they try to follow some serious responsible gaming initiatives.

The Chief Executive of the industry standards organisation eCOGRA, Andrew Beveridge, is going to attend the European Gaming and Betting Association where is being held the Responsible Gaming Day conference. Andrew affirmed that in 2011 there are more than 30 of the leading European operators and software suppliers who have elected implementing the 134 evidence-based measures that have been developed by CEN. That was for ensuring the player protection as well as the operator behaviour. There are a of them annually audited by eCOGRA in order to demonstrate the full compliance.

Joachim Haeusler, who is the Responsible Gaming Manager at Bwin.party, has also stressed the responsible gaming importance. He affirmed that for being a prevention gambling-related problem effective, operators must definitely use certain measures. Bwin.party is supposed to have been one of the 1st operators that has adopted the CWA 16259:2011 measures.

In the European Gaming and Betting Association where was held the Responsible Gaming Day conference, Tex Rees, the person who is managing the eCOGRA’s initiatives in responsible gambling is going to present a live demonstration of the internet tools that are presented in order to identify or even to protect players. This presentation will give details related to measures and the way they are going to work in order to ensure protection of the players.
